With less then 60 days left in the race to re-establish reality in the White House, what Palin REALLY did in Alaska matters!
For several weeks– and due to McCains poor vetting (a president who can’t vet the person one heart-beat away from his position is a grave threat anyway) the facts about Palin have been emerging between fuzzy accusations.
That has actually hurt Democrats– as I suspect RNC strategists knew it would. Palin has the “likability” factor and it always trumps facts, especially when in doubt.
Now it’s up to Dems to get very serious and accurate. Stop wasting time on the punch-line jokes and get to business finding the reliable and RELATIVE issues–tie them to her stump speeches– and prove the reality: PALIN’S NOT CREDIBLE!
Saying Palin lies is harsh and people who like her won’t want to hear you. But question her credibility by knowing the facts– linked to her speech and therefore the same claims she is making in each stump speech– and you can begin to hammer on her CHARACTER by proving her claims lack creditability!! In other words, prove she lies, let the listener connect the dots.
The following is from a vetted list of facts (more at the link):
PALIN: “It was the spirit that brought me to the governor’s office, when I took on the old politics as usual in Juneau … when I stood up to the special interests, the lobbyists, big oil companies, and the good-ol’ boys network.”
REALITY: PALIN HAS A LT. GOVERNOR WHO IS A FORMER OIL LOBBYIST, HIRED WASILLA’S FIRST FEDERAL LOBBYIST (A FORMER STEVENS STAFFER) & HAD THE SUPPORT OF ENTRENCHED ALASKA POLITICIANS DURING HER 2006 RACE.
The Reality-Based Community: Palin v. Reality.
Oh and one more question about the quote from her RNC speech above, is she referring to “spirit” or “Spirit”, as in Holy? It DOES matter.
