WAS YOUR PROVISIONAL VOTE unCOUNTED?
100,000 provisional ballots were issued on election day. Many to ANYBODY who asked to vote; if their name was not on the registry or if their ID was insufficient and EVEN IF they were in the wrong precinct polling location!
Why do those conditions matter? Thanks to the AZ ID laws, provisionals are of two types: Regular provisional and Conditional provisional. Regular provisionals are given if you are not on the voter roll, but believe you ARE registered. The provisional ballot has a check area in the upper right corner that must be circled “yes” (meaning “yes” the provisional is ‘regular’). Conditional provisionals are given if you DO NOT have sufficient ID. The provisional check area “no” is circled meaning it is NOT a regular provisional. And the BAD news is, that for your CONDITIONAL provisional to be counted YOU MUST TAKE ID PROOF TO THE ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT BY THIS UPCOMING WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12! No, poll workers DID NOT HAVE TO TELL YOU that information!
Further (and worse) many provisionals were not marked (by circling ‘yes’ or ‘no’) by poll workers!
AND (yes, there is more) provisionals have a pink receipt top copy, which should be torn off and given to the voter. Many provisional top copies were not given to voters…
Also, in past elections, if you voted in the wrong precinct polling place, your vote WOULD NOT BE COUNTED! But this year, so many polling places were moved at the last minute that the county instructed poll workers to give ANYONE who wanted to vote a provisional ballot! The county claims it will count all those ballots, but– how do we know for sure?
Where does this leave Arizona voters? Well, there is no way for election integrity activists to identify who got provisionals, who did not receive the pink copy or how many were unmarked as regular OR conditional.
What is the solution?
If you marked a ballot that was NOT FED INTO A BALLOT READER on the spot, but that was put in an envelope and into a box, you voted a provisional ballot:
- If you did not get a pink top copy, call 602-506-1511 AND COMPLAIN!
- If your pink copy designation area is not circled yes or no, the county has stated you do not have to RETURN with YOUR ID! Concerned? Call 602-506-1511 and confirm!!
- If you lost the pink part, call 602-506-1511 and explain your situation. Ask for direction.
In all the above please also email election integrity activist Randall Holmes: azpollworker@cox.net and notify him of your actions as well. He is part of a group collecting reports of election irregularity.
If your pink provisional copy has “no” circled TAKE YOUR ID (from proof list at link below) to an elections location by WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 12, 5pm (site locations listed on link below).
